WILLIAM BURGESS DEXTER - William Theodore Burgess Sr., 80, died suddenly Tuesday at his work at the Cen- tral Maine Power Co. here. He was born May 25,1907, at Sebec Village, the son of Theo- dore C. and Gertrude (Sever- ance) Burgess. He attended Sebee schools and Foxcroft Academy. He had been employed for over 30 years by CMP and for five years had worked for the New England Tel. Co. He resided in Dover-Foxcroft until 1944, when he and his fam- ily moved to Dexter. He was a member of the Dexter Fish and Game Association. He is survived by his widow, Leona Johnston Burgess of here; three sons, William T. Jr., of Tucson, Ariz., Malcomb O. Burgess of Torrington Conn.,and James B. Burgess of here; one sister, Mrs. George Moore of Dover-Fox- croft; five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Meth- odist Church in Dexter, with the Rev. R. Gordon Parlin of- ficiating. Spring burial will be in the Dover-Foxcroft cemetery. Friends may call at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
