Obituary
TRUDYE ANGEL WARDWELL DEXTER and ISLESBORO Trudye Angel Wardwell left us on Oct. 4, 2002. She died as she had lived, in the loving circle of her family. She was born March 1, 1932, to Viola May and William Edward Angel in Merced, Calif. Her love of travel, music, politics and her family shaped her life. She was an avid reader, talented cook and gracious hostess. She shared her Islesboro home with her husband, Lyman and an endless parade of friends and family enjoyed their hospitality. She was a member of the Lone Star Chapter of the Eastern Star. She retired from bookkeeping in the early 1990's and worked with her son, Scott in their Dexter restaurant and later helped her daughter and son- in-law at their Guilford Bed & Breakfast. Trudye was predeceased by her husband, Lyman in 1988. She is survived by her son, Scott Wardwell and his cherished wife, Lynn of LaGrange; her, daughter, Lynn and her beloved husband, Harry Anderson of Guilford; her sister-in-law and dear friend, Louise Dyer of Windham; her brother, Ross Angel of Kilgore, Texas; her favorite aunt, Birdie Gibson of Arlington, Va. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren; her grandson, Aaron Wardwell and his fiancee, Rachael Cunliffe of Bangor; her granddaughter, Amanda Wardwell; and her great-grandson, Harley Scott, both from LaGrange. Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside memorial service at Maple Grove Cemetery on Islesboro on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at 11 a.m. 'Some people come into our lives, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never the same.'
