Obituary	Obituary. JOSEPH FOWLER. Died, Feb. 10, at Brockway,s Mills, Sangerville, Joseph Fowler, aged 87 years and 5months. He was born in Winthrop, Me., Sept., 1801. At the age of 23 years he came to Sangerville and bought the farm on which he resided during his lifetime. He was married in 1831 to Miss Rachel D. Haynes of Sangerville, who died 15 years ago. Eight children were born to them, the two oldest dying in infancy, and one son, Albert R., died five years ago, at the age of 43. Those now living are Mrs. Susan E. Folsom of Dexter, Mrs. Lucilla R. Bennett of South Sangerville, Mrs. Nellie H. Chase of Bucksport, J. C. Fowler of Sangerville, and Miss Alma C Fowler of Dexter. Mr. Fowler was a worthy citizen, faithful in the various town offices he was called to fill, being one of the selectmen for six years. He was always much interested in political affairs, a great reader, and having a retentive memory, was well informed on the topics of the day. His mental powers remained almost unimpaired to the day of his death. In religious belief, he was a staunch Congregationalist, although in perfect sympathy with all christians. In his last days he was kindly cared for by Mr. Eben Cleaves and wife, and his daughter, Mrs. Bennett. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. J. Tingling of Guilford.
