MRS. WALTER BRAGDON Martha Brown -Bragdon died at the Eastern Maine General Hospi- tal in Bangor Monday, May 24, af- ter a long illness. She was born in Kenduskeag September 13, 1879, the daughter of Samuel and Flora (Moyer) Brown. Most of her life has been spent in Dexter. A hard working woman, a true and loyal friend, a loving and faithful wife and mother, she leaves a wide cir- cle of friends to mourn her pass- ing. Besides her husband, Walter,she leaves a son, Norman and four, grandchildren of Sangerville; two brothers, Carroll Brown of Taconia, Washington and Samuel Brown of Dover, N.H.; a sister, Mrs. George Page of Dover-Foxcroft; several nieces and nephews, Mrs. Bertha Johnson of Dover-Foxcroft, Samuel Goodrich of Dow Field, Bangor, Emond Richardson of Monson, Mrs. Eva stuitz of Tucson, Arizona, also Mrs. Catherine Sprague and brother, Floyd. Funeral services were held at the Crosby funeral parlor Thurs- day. May 27, the Rev. Theodore A. Webb of the Universalist Church officiatinig. Numerous floral offer- ings gave silent token of the es- teem given by all who knew her. Burial was at Mt. Pleasant cere- tery. Bearers were Leslie Huff, Charlels Chandler, Adolph Dyer and Clifford Goulette. Among those attending the funer- al from out-of-town were: Mr. and Mrs. Samuel A. Brown of Dover- N. H.; Mr. and Mrs. George Page, Mrs. Bertha Johnson and Hayes, B. Goodrich of Dover-Foxcroft; and Mrs. Lillian Wheaton of Kendus- keag, a cousin.
