MRS. SERENE M. TITCOMB Mrs. Serene Titcomb Dies At Dexter Home DEXTER, Sept. 18-Mrs. Serene Mary Titcomb, 67, widow of Ariasa C. Titcomb, died at her home here early Saturday morning. Born in East Corinth, Dec. 5, 1881, she was the daughter of Ben- iamin Franklin and Sarah (Hill) Trickey. She was graduated with honors from East Corinth Academy and from a Bangor business college. April 29, 1903, she married Amasa Campbell Titcomb and the couple started business in the geenral store at East Corinth. In 1915, they purchased the E. Ayer Dry Goods store in Dexter. Since the death of her husband in 1932, Mrs. Titcomb has maintained the business es- tablishment. She was treasurer of the trustees of the Dexter Methodist church, a member of Good Samaritan Chapter No, 38 O.E.S., of Ken- duskeag and of the Dexter Eastern Star club. Survivors are two sons, Carl of Newport, and Franklin of Abbot; five daughters, Miss Beatrice E.- Titcomb of Morencie, Arizona, Mrs. Howard T. Davis of Dexter, Mrs. Allister W. Dawson, Belmont, Mass., Miss Marion Titcomb of San Fran- cisco, Cal., and Mrs, Donald Brough of Bloomingdale, N. J., and several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Dexter Methodist church, Tues- day Sept. 20 at two P. m., with Rev. Samuel Bodman conducting the services. Burial will be in the Corinthian cemetery at East Corinth.
