Prominent Dexter Business Man Dies DEXTER, Feb. 26-Harry E.. Hale, 77, prominent local business man, died today after a short ill- ness. He was a native of Corinth, the son of Edward and Adele Gove Hale. He attended Dexter schools and had operated his own clothing business here since 1900. He was a member of Penobscot lodge, F. & A. M., St. John's Com- mandery, of Bangor, Anah Temple, Nobles of Mystic Shrine, the Elk- instown club, the Dexter Chamber of commerce and Dexter club. He was a former director of the Mer- rill Trust company and the Plum- mer Memorial hospital. He was a member of the First Universalist, church. Surviving are his wife, Susan E., a daughter, Mrs. C. R. Milone of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; a son, Frederic H., of Dexter; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Brewster Fay of Dexter, and Mrs. Pearle H. Klerx of South- wick, Mass. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the First Universalist church, with the Rev. Gordon Chilson Reardon, officiating. Honorary bearers will include B. L. Call, H. A. Blake, C. H. Wyman and H. M. Gates. Active bearers will include R. P. Thompson, M. G. Otto, R. H. Tillson, C. H. Ansell and L. F. Ronco. RICHARD D. McKUSICK, JR.
