Obituary	Mr. A. G. Shaw died at his home on Spring street Thursday, Aug. 15, at 2 p. m., after a long illness. He was 86 years of age, Dec. 26, 1900. Mr. Shaw was born in Exeter, removing when a young man to this place which he made his home through life. He leaves four children, George F. Shaw of Vermont, Asa A. and Misses Julia and Ellen of Dexter; also a brother, E. 0. Shaw of Boston and two sisters, Mrs. J. K. C. Sleeper and Mrs. C. B. Grinnell of Malden, Mass. A daughter of Mr. Shaw, Mrs. L. M. Haseltine, died last February. The funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p. m. at his late home, the interment being in Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Mr. Shaw had many friends, his genial nature and upright life winning the friendship and respect of all who knew him, and his family have the sympathy of all.
