Dr. Harold H. Crane Dr. Harold H. Crane, well known in Maine as a skilled surgeon and physi- cian, died early Saturday morning in Fairfield sanatorium where he has been a patieit for the past few months Dr. Crane's death followed a long period of failing health. For many years he was located in Bangor where he enjoyed an extensive Practice, being at one time associated with the late Dr.W.H. Simmons. When the United States entered the World War Dr. Crane immediately enlisted in the Medical Reserve corps, and In January 1918 was assigned to duty at Fort Ogletnorpe, Georgia. He was lately Promoted to be a member of the examining staff at that fort and received rank of captain. Several years ago Dr. Crane came to Dexter where he opened offices and quickly worked up an extensive prac- tice in surgery, performing many operations at various hospitals in this section. The deceased was a native of Buck- sport, graduating from the East Maine Conference seminary later ob- taining his medical education at the Jefferson Medical College in Philla- delphia. Dr. Crane was a member of the Various Masonic orders and of the Dexter club. During he several years residence in this town he made many friends who deeply regret his unfortunat passing.
