Private Funeral Services Held For Mrs. J. Edgar Atwater, Mrs. J. Edgar Atwater, 68, died Tuesday mroning, February 17, at a Waterville hospital follow.ng several weeks illness. She was born June 24, 1879, at Willimantic, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sanborn. She had lived in this town many years. Surviving are her husband, six daughters, Mrs. Doris E. Potts of Elmira, N.Y., Mrs. Eleanor R. Easley of Dexter, Mrs. Imogene M. Cameron of Bangor, Mrs. Wilda C Bridgham of Portland, Mrs Bar- bara E. Clark of Garland, Mrs. Julia M. Roberts of Dexter; seven sons, Randall E, Hugh W.,Robert W., Roland L., Joseph A., all of Dexter; Charles S. of Waycross, Ga., Morris S. of Savannah, Ga., 20 grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. Private funeral services were held at the home on Lower Main street, Dexter, Thursday afternoon at two o'clock. The Rev. Gilman Lane of the Methodist church offi- ciating. The active bearers were the four youngest sons, and the honorary bearers were the three eldest sons. Spring burial will be at Mt. Pleas- ant cemetery. Many beautiful floral tributes were sent to the Sisters' hoslital, Waterville.
