Obituary	Joseph Lancaster The death of Joseph Lancaster oc- curred April 3, 1943 at his home on the South Ridge Road, Dexter, after a short illness, as the age of 87 years, 11 months and 24 days. He was cared for by his son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Lancaster with whom he lived. Prior to his last illness he had been in remarkably good health and had done much work about the place dur- ing the winter. He was born in Kendall, England but came to Dedham, Mass. when a baby. He was married April 6, 1878 to Beatta Martin, who die February 8, 1918. He had lived on the farm where he died for 67 years. To Mr. and Mrs. Laneaser were born five children, Joseph C. of Dexter; Annie, who died at the age of 13 years;Floyd, who died in infancy; Vernard of Dex- ter and Maude E. of Quincy, Mass. Funeral services were held at the home Monday, April 5, the Rev. J. Kenneth Halliday officiating. The body was placed in thetomb to await burial in Mt. Pleasant cemetery this spring.
