DEXTER, June 7-Funeral serv- ices for Miss Marion E. Rowe, adopted daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter N. Rowe, were held from the Methodist church at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon, the Rev. P. L. Niles officiating. Rebekah services were also held. There were many beautiful flow- ers from relatives and the many friends of the deceased. The bear- ers were Ray Huntington of Guil- ford, Fenton Marsh of Bartlett, N. H., R. 0. Bickford, and George Starbird. Miss Rowe died Friday afternoon at a local hospital following sur- gical treatment and her passing came as a shock to her friends. She was born in Holden 21 years ago. She was graduated from N. H. Fay School, attended Farming- ton Normal school, and for the past year held a teaching position at the Spring Street grammar school. She was a talented musi- cian, having played the violin in the Fay High school orchestra and the all-state orchestra and band at Castine. She was also promi- nent in musical circles while at- tending Farmington Normal school. She was a member of the Glee club at Fay High school. She at- tended the Methodist church and was a member of Martha Wash- ington Rebekah lodge. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
