Obituary
Mrs. Bessie Parcher, wife of O. P. Parcher, died at her home on Church street last Monday evening. She had been sick for a long time and was a great sufferer. The deceased was widely and favorably known and had a host of friends who will deeply sympathize with the relatives in their great loss. Her age was 63 years. She was a member of many organizations as follows: Martha Washington Rebekah lodge, No. 18, I. 0. 0. F., Wassokeag chapter, No. 44, Order of the Eastern Star; Crystal Assembly, No. 15, Pythian Sisterhood; Woman's Christian Temperance Union; Ladies Aid of the Baptist church and the Sunday school of the same. She was also a devoted member of the Baptist church. Mrs. Parcher was born in Parkman but has been a resident of Dexter for a long time. She leaves a husband, one son, Forest Parcher, a sister, Mrs. Allen Merrill, and one brother, William Hersey of Pittsfield. The funeral was held at 10 o'clock this morning at the home, Rev. E. C. Whittemore of Waterville, assisted by Rev. H. B. Woods, officiating. There was a large attendance of friends and members of the organizations to which she belonged. The interment was in Mt. Pleasant cemeter.
