Obituary	Mrs. William Tait, one of our old residents, died at her home on Grove street last Saturday evening after quite a long illness. Mrs. Tait was born in Galashiels, Scotland, Feb. 5, 1829, and was therefore 74 years old. Her maiden name was Margaret Fairgrieves. Coming to America in 1852 she married William Tait a year later and came to Dexter in 1854 where they have since resided. She leaves a husband and three children, Mrs. W. E. Hill, Mrs. S. P. Moore and Frank Tait, all of this town. She also has two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Wheeler of Dexter and Mrs. Alice R Morrow of Lewiston, also a brother, Charles R. Fairgrieves, who lives in the soldiers' home at Togus. The funeral was held at the home last Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. W. H. Gould offleiating. The singers were Mrs. Carr and Mrs. Small. The bearers were J. M. Hill, D. K. Jenkins, W. P. Thompson and Joseph Kanally. The floral tributes were numerous and beautiful. The relatives have the sympathy of our people in their affliction.
