Obituary	Mrs. Sarah M., wife of Cyrus Foss, who has been critically ill for some time, died at her home on Pleasant street last Sunday morning. She suffered from a shock Jan. 21 that caused partial paralysis and although there was improvement at first in her condition it was not such as to encourage hopes for her recovery. Her only child, Mrs. T. J. Springall of Malden, Mass., came here at once and cared for her mother to the last. Mrs. Foss was a daughter of Amos Abbott and sister of George A. Abbott, who gave our beautiful library. She also took great interest in the building and presented the valuable painting of Lincoln which adorns its walls. About two months ago the 50th anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Foss was celebrated by the relatives and friends in a quiet way and was a very pleasant event. She leaves a husband, daughter and one sister, Mrs. Emily Springall. Mrs. Foss was 78 years old last October. The funeral was held at her late home Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. W. H. Gould officiating.
