HAZEL A. CHAMPEON DEXTER and WARREN - Hazel A. Chompeon, 90, died Feb. 12, 1998, at a Rockport hospital. She was born in Lagrange, June 12, 1907, the daughter of Daniel and Nina (McLellan) Champeon. She worked as the Dexter High School librarian for 43 years and for the Abbott Memorial Library in Dexter for many years. For the post several years, she had lived in Warren and was a member of the Calvary Bap- tist Church in Warren. She is sur- vived by a nephew and his wife, Donald and Linda Champeon and their children, Jenny and Birch; and a sister-in-law, Audrey Champeon, all of Warren; a niece, Donna Gravely of Oak Forest, Ill. She was Predeceased by two brothers, An- drew and Donald; and a sister, Elizabeth. Groveside services will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Dexter, in the spring. Those who wish may make donations in her memory to the Calvary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 99, Warren 04864, to be used for the library at the Baptist Bible Institute of Vene- zuela.
