Obituary	ALBERT L. 'BERT' SEVEY RIPLEY - Albert Leon "Bert" Se- vey, 91, died June 28, 1997, t his home in Ripley. He was born March 15, 1906, in Corinna, the son of Er- nest and Leona (Moody) Sevey. He attended schools in Corinna, Ripley and Dexter, before engaging in the lumbering and farming business and was most recently employed at Fayscott Co. in Dexter before his retirement. He was an avid garden- er and wood craftsman throughout his lifetime. He actively participated in community affairs in Ripley in- cluding service as tax collector for a period of time and as town road commissioner. He was a member and post master of the Ripley Grange P of H No. 462, which he had joined as a teenager more than 75 years ago. He also attained his 32nd Degree as a Mason. He is sur- vived by his loving wife of 70 years, Adelena Laughton Sevey of Ripley; three sons and, their wives, Ernest and Rebecca Sevey, Howard and Margaret Sevey, all of Ripley, Rich- ard and Barbara Sevey of Lady Lake, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. At Bert's request, there will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ferndale Cemetery, Ripley.
