Obituary
A Sad Accident. Our people were greatly shocked and grieved last Friday afternoon on learning that Violet May, the little four year old daughter of John Keefe, had been instantly killed by being run over by a loaded farm wagon on Grove street hill, just below the railroad crossing. The child was playing on the street and, it is supposed, attempted to get upon the wagon for a ride. In doing so she fell under the wheels. The driver of the team knew nothing of the accident until he was informed of it some time later by those who discovered the body. He was busy guiding his team and had no idea a child was near. Naturally he feels very badly over the accident but he was not in the least to blame. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of the entire community in their great affliction. The little one was a bright and attractive child. She was born in Dover 4 years and 2 months ago. The funeral was held at the home on Grove street Saturday afternoon, Rev. B. G. Seaboyer officiating. The bearers were playmates of the little one, Jerry Ganeau, Earl Bickford, Eastman Bickford and Phillip Lancaster. The floral offerings from sympathizing friends were numerous and beautiful.
