Obituary	Edgar L. Whitney, residing on the Dover road, had a stroke of apoplexy last Friday from which he died Saturday morning without regaining consciousness. The funeral was held at the home of his son at Hazeltine's corner Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Mr. Whitney was born in Parkman Aug. 26, 1846. He came to Dexter when he was 19 and has made this town his home since. He leaves three sons and one daughter, Eugene B., of Ripley; Elmer L., of Dexter; Lizzie M., of Bangor, and Oral J., of Dexter, also one sister, Mrs. Gcorge Labree of North Dexter. Rev. J. G. Fisher officiated at the funeral. The bearers were Charles Young, Llewellyn Call, James Cole and Charles Jackson. The interment was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
