Obituary
Mrs. Jennie Trask Curtis. The friends of Mrs. Jennie Trask Curtis, who have known of her long and severe illness, will not be surprised to learn that on June 15th she passed from her home in Chicago to her heavenly home beyond. The early years of Mrs. Curtis were lived in Dexter where as a bright young school girl she was greatly admired and loved. Early in life she united with the Baptist church and as a member of the choir and Sabbath school and a faithful, consistent Christian worker she has ever been held in loving remembrance. Later in life Mrs. Curtis developed the qualities of a faithful, loving wife and mother, gently leading, wisely training her children in the ways of truth and obedience. Her husband and mother, Mrs. Reed Wheeler, who was with her during the last weeks of her illness, have sincere sympathy in their loss. Those who knew Jennie in Dexter last summer were especially impressed with her beautiful motherhood---her loving devotion to her little ones---as well as her sweet gentleness of spirit, as a Christian fast ripening for heaven. Toward her children, now left mother-less, the hearts of many of her early friends will turn with thoughts of tenderness and love.
