Obituary	Edward W. Clark Died at his home in Dexter March 15th, Edward W. Clark, aged 75 years. Mr. Clark was born in Sebec, but had been a resident of Dexter for nearly 50 years. For 25 years he was engineer at the "stone” mill. After giving up that position be was constantly employed at similar work, and was a busy man up to within a few months of his death. He was a veteran of the Civil war, having served in Co. F. 11th Me.; and was a member of H. F. Safford Post, G. A. R. He was a member of Plymouth lodge, I. 0. 0. F., in which he had passed through all the chairs; and was a charter member of the Rebekah lodge. He was also a member of the Grand Lodge of Maine, and for several years District Deputy Grand Master. Mr. Clark will be remembered for his kindly and genial nature, and his especial love for children, with whom he was a great favorite. He will be especially missed in the immediate neighborhood in which his home was; where in a circle of five or six homes, of which his was one, Mr. Clark's is the first death to occur in 35 years. Mrs. Clark survives him, also three sons, Leonard V., living in Augusta; Daniel S., in North Dexter; and Ridgeley C., of the junior class in Bowdoin college. A brother, the last of his father's family, resides in Bowerbank. The funeral services were held at the home on Monday afternoon, Mr. Lincoln of the Congregational church officiating, followed by the Odd Fellows’ service, under the direction of Plymouth lodge.
