Obituary
Edmond Bickell Edmond Bickell, one of the oldest residents of Dexter, died Saturday at his home on the Charleston road, after a short illness. The deceased was over 80 years of age. He was born in England 80 years ago, from which country he came to America with his parents, Richard Bickell and wife, taking up their residence in Dexter 78 years ago. Here the deceased had resided most of the time since. Mr. Bickell was employed in the woolen mills for a number of years, later settling on a farm in the east part of the town. He had been in ill health for several years. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. A. Wiggin of the Free Baptist church, the interment being in Mt. Pleasant cemetery. He is survived by a widow, one daughter, Mrs. Eugene Brann, of Foxcroft, one brother, Charles Bickell, of Buxton, and three sisters, Mrs. Kate Stilling, of Somerville, Mass., Mrs. Mary Austin, of Methuen, Mass., and Prudence Bickell, of Haverhill, Mass.
