Mrs. Sarah Hayden Mrs. Sarah Hayden passed away at her home on lower Main street at about eight o'clock yesterday morning, after a long illness. Mrs. Hayden was the daughter of the late Levi Bridgham, Sr., and was born in Dexter April 1st, being at the time of her death 63 years of age. About forty years ago she married Chas. H. Hayden and for almost the whole of their married life they lived in the house where she died. Mrs. Hayden was a very social woman and was at her death a member of Martha Washington Rebekah lodge, of which she was a charter member and the second noble grand, Wassookeag chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Crystal assembly Pythian Sisters, and of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union. She was a member of the Universalist church and lived an exemplary Christian life. Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Clara Crossland. Both her husband and daughter are seriously ill, Mr. Hayden at the home and Mrs. Crossland at a hospital in Portland, to which she has been recently removed. The funeral services will be held at her late home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the services being conducted by Rev. S. G. Spear of the Universalist church. The funeral is to be attended by members of the Rebekah, Eastern Star and Pythian lodges of which she was a member and the funeral service of the Rebekah lodge will be read.
