Obituary	Lucy Mower Shaw Death of Mrs. Lucy Mower Shaw. Mrs. Shaw of Hotel Netherland, N. Y., passed away Jan. 9, 1908, aged 72 years. She was born on the Dea. Horn farm at the head of Dexter lake. When a girl of eight years, she went to live with her uncle, Dea. Hiram Mower, in Corinna. At the age of eighteen years she went to California, and married John W. Shaw, a very successful miner. After accumulating a fortune they moved to New York, lived at the Windsor hotel until it was burned, then moved to Hotel Netherland where they have since lived. Mr. Shaw died several years ago and was taken to Sacramento, Cal.. and buried beside a little daughter, aged nine years. Mrs. Shaw’s remains will be taken to California, and buried beside her husband and daughter.
