Obituary	ELEANOR M. COOKSON DEXTER - Eleanor M. Cookson, 72, died June 3, 1997, at a Sebasticook Valley Hospital in Pittsfield. She was born May 2, 1925, in Orrington, the daughter of Cuddy and Ruth (Robin- son)Hurd. She was worked at Dexter Shoe Co. in Dexter for several years. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter M. Cookson in 1990. She is survived by two sons, Larry Cookson and Stephen Cook- son both of Dexter; a brother, Wal- ter Hurd of Orrington and a sister, Maxine Hawthorn of Hampden; four grandchildren Billy, Kristi, Robin and Randi; four great-grandchil- dren, several nieces and nephews; her companion, Buff. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 238 Main St., Dexter. Graveside ser- vices will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Mt. Pleassant Cemetery, Dexter.
