Obituary	RUTH A. WHITE CAMBRIDGE - Ruth A. White, 68, died Aug. 16, 1998, at a Do- ver-Foxcroft hospital. She was bom April 10, 1930, in Dexter, the daughter of Edward and Louise (McCarthy) Page. She was a gradu- ate of Hartland Academy. She worked for several years at the local factories including Dexter Shoe Co. in Dexter and Hathaway Shirt Co. in Dover-Foxcroft. She married Orie F. White in 1948 and for the past 20 year she assisted her husband in his pulp contracting business. She was a past member of the OES. She was an avid bird watcher and loved knitting, especially for her grand- children . She is survived by her hus- band, Orie White of Cambridge; a son, Robert White of Cambridge; four daughters, Sheryl Batey of Garland, Nancy and her hus6and, Michael Glidden of Cambridge, Peggy White. of Winthrop, Mass., Bonnie and her husband, Donald Martel of Cambridge; a sister, Estelle Mason of Dexter; eight grandchildren, Erika and Joshua Batey, Amie and Becky Glidden, Bryan and Corie White, Kelsey and Kellie Martel several nieces and nephews. There will be no public calling hours. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Crosby- Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main St., Dexter, Burial will be in Cambridge Memorial Garden Cemetery, Cam- bridge.
