MARY E. CHABOT DEXTER - Mary E. Chabot, 71, died June 22, 1997, at a Dover- Foxcroft hospital after a period of ill health. She was born in Caribou, Aug. 16, 1925, the daughter of James O. and Gertrude (Burgess) Edgecom . She was educated in schools of Caribou. For more than 25 years Mary worked at Dexter Shoe in Dexter. She enjoyed crocheting afghans and giving them to her fam- ily and friends. She also enjoyed working in her flower gardens and reading in her spare time. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Philip J. Chabot of Dexter; two sons, Philip A. Chabot and Charles D. Chabot, both of Dexter; two daugh- ters, Sandra A. Sinclair and Betty L. Chabot, both of Dexter; two broth- ers, James Edgecomb and Erwin Ed- gecomb, both of Dexter; four sis- ters, Doris Hartford of Sangerville, Betty Trembley of Newport, Brenda Watson of Sangerville and Slenda Simonds of Corinna; two grandchil- dren, Ashley and Ryan Chabot of Dexter; two stepgrandchildren, Brandon and Kimberly DeRosier of Dexter; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother and sister, Sarah Levas- eur and Sonny Edgecomb. At her request there are no visiting hours. graveside services will be conduct- ed 10 a.m. Thursday, June 26, at Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna. In lieu of flowers, friends are re- quested to make memorial dona- tions to Operation, Liftoff of Maine, P.0. Box 201, Bangor O4402-0201. Ar- rangements are in the care of the Brown Funeral Home, 24 High Street, Newport.
