Obituary	ARTHUR W. COVEL DEXTER - Arthur W. Covel, 81, died Jun 25, 1997, at a Dexter health-care facility. He was born June 13, 1916 in Dexter, the son of Harold and Evelyn (Whitten) Covel. He was a Chaplain in the American Legion and a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter. He served the Town of Dexter as a Police offi- cer and fireman. He worked in the Dexter area for Fay Scott, Dexter Shoe, and also as a dairyman and retired as the sexton for the Town. He is surviv!d by his wife of 56 years, Ruth (Lee) Covel of Dexter; three sons and their wives, David and Ncincy Covel, Stephen and Mary Covel, all of Dexter, and Timothy and Carol Covel of Lakewoood, N.J.; six grandchildren, three great- grandchildren; a brother Donald Covel of Zephyrhills, Fl,.; a sister, Maxine Lynch of Fairfax, Va. He was predeceased by two sisters, Doro- thea and Roberta. Friends may call 6-8 P.m. Friday at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 238 Main St. Dexter. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Dexter with the Rev. John Ross officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Those who wish May make donations in his memory to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
