PAUL E. CLICHE DEXTER - Paul E. Cliche, 91, went home to be with his Lord March 6, 2005, from the Somerset Boarding Home in Madison. He was born Sept. 28, 1913, at Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, a son of Louis "Frank" and Valeda (Provost) Cleaves. Paul was an Army veteran of World War II. He worked as an artist and sign painter in the Lewiston area for many years. He was a communicant of St. Anne's Parish and a past member of Cardinal Mercier Council 2625 Knights of Columbus. He also belonged to the Poulliot-Seavey Post 53 American Legion. Paul is survived by two brothers, Omer Cleaves and Philip Cleaves, both of Dexter; two sisters, Lucienne Doucette of Lewiston, and Lillian De` maris of San Antonio, Texas; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Therese; his daughter, Esther; four brothers, Gabriel, Henry, Roland and Gerald; and a sister, Anita Clukey. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Somerset Boarding Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Dexter, with the Rev. Fr. Raymond Morency officiating. Friends may call at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main St., Dexter, from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass. Spring burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
