Obituary	LYMAN ISRAEL CURTIS DEXTER, Lyman Israel Curtis, 95, died July 7, 2005, at a Dexter health care facility. He was born December 6, 1909, in Lowell, Maine, the son of Herbert and Gladys (McKenney) Curtis. He served in the US Army in North Africa during WWII, and was a member of the American Legion in Milo. Lyman was also an active member of the Dexter Pentecostal Church. He worked in the woods, worked as a mason tender and later retired from Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna. As the oldest resident of Dexter, he was a recipient of the Boston Post Cane. He is survived by 4 sons, Rev. Lyman Curtis Jr. and his wife Patricia, and Raymond Curtis and his wife Bonnie, all of Dexter, Rev. David Curtis and his wife Deborah of Surrey, British Columbia, and James Curtis of Waterville; 4 daughters, Grace Giles and her husband, Herbert and Carla Curtis all of Dexter, Jackie Campbell and her husband Galen of Guilford, and Rhoda White of Dexter; 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 3 nephews. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM, Friday, July 8, 2005, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main St. in Dexter. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 9th at the funeral home, with the Rev. and Mrs. Glendon and Maxine Faloon officiating. Burial will be in the Corinna Center Cemetery in Corinna. Those who wish may make donations to the Dexter Pentecostal Church, 48 Railroad Ave., Dexter, ME 04930, to help the family with expenses.
