Obituary	RALPH E. SAWYER Ripley - Ralph E. Saw- yer, 54, died unexpectedly at his residence in Ripley May 20,1982, after a period of failing health. He was born in, Ripley, Sep. ,3 1927,the son of Othie and Maude (Roach) Sawyer. He attended school in Ripley, Hartland Academy, as well as N.H. Fay High School in Dexter. Ralph was a mem- ber of the Ripley United Methodist Church, a 25 year member of Ripley Grange, No. 462, were he served as master for several yeaars, and had held other offices. He was a Master Mason, in Cambridge, Lodge, No@ 157. He worked at Northeast Shoe in Pittsfield for 15, years. He retired in 1981 af- ter 18 years with the Dexter Shoe Shop, Dexter. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kay (Pierce)Sawyer of Ripley; five brothers Maur-7 ice of St. Albans, Harold Stanton, Richchard and; Ar- nold, all of Ripley;several nieces and nephews. Ma- sonic funeral services will be held at the Crosby funer- al home, Dexter 2 p.m. Sat- urday. Burial will be in West Ripley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 7-9 p.m. Friday.
