ALCIDE "HIG" NADEAU DEXTER - Alcide "Hig" Nadeau,72, died June 8, 1982, at a Dexter hospital after a long illness. He was born in Blue River, Quebec, Canada, June 4, 1910, the son of Omarand; Annie Na- deau. He was communi- cant of St.Anne's Catholic Church, a former member of the Civil Air Patrol and the Dexter Fire Department. He operated; Hig's Landing as well as Hig's Taxi service for many yearly He was a vete- ran of World War 11 and a member of the American Le- gion. He is survived by his, wife, Wardell (Swan) Na- deau, three daughters, Eliz- abeth Steele of Gloster, Mrs. June Batchelder of Exeter and Sally Ann: Lavallee of Wilomantic, Conn.; two brothers, William and Jo- seph, both of Dexter; five sisters, Lena Williams, Rose Bush, Martha Titus, and Ge- neva LaFountain, all of Dex- ter, and Mrs. Lisa Bladen of Brewer; nine grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren;, several nieces and neph- ews. A Mass of Christain Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne's Catholic Church 9 a.m. Friday. Friends may call Crosby Funeral Home, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Prayers will be said 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mount Pleas- ant Cemetery,Dexter.
