MILLARD S. QUIMBY CORINNA - Millard S. Quimby, 73, husband of Muriel (Sprague) Quimby died unexpectedly Jan. 18 1982, at his residence. He was born Dec. 17, 1908, in Corinna, the son of Royal and Dora (Thurston) Quim- by. He was a Navy veteran of World War 11 and in 1940, became Corinna's first Town manager. He later became Town Manager for the towns of Farmington,Orono, Milo, and retired in Dexter in 1974. He was a past presi- dent,of the Maine Town and City Managers Association. He was a past master of Parian Lodge, AF&AM, and a member of the Corinna Chapter, OES He was a past commander of the Corinna Post, American Legion, and a member of the Board of Trustees of Corinna Union Academy, for 50 years. Sur- viving besides his wife of Corinna, are a daughter, Mrs. Mark (Jane) Biscoe of Concord, Mass.; a brother Dr. Maynard W. Quimby of Jackson,Miss.; three grand- children, Mark Jr., Andrew and Katherine, all of Con- cord, Mass.; and one niece. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Corin- na United Methodist Churh, with Pastor Terry McKinley officiating. Spring burial will be in Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna. Friends may call, at the Thompson: Funeral Home, Pleasant St., Corinna, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. A Masonic memorial service will be conducted 7:30 p.m. Wednesday by Parion Lodge, AF&AM.
