Obituary	ROBERT P. BENNETT Funeral services were held this afternoon for Robert P. Bennett, 78, at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Charles G. Chandler, Dover road. He died Tuesday morning at a Gardiner rest home. The Rev. A. Allan Brough of the First Baptist Church officiated. Bearers were: Edwin Starbird, Sangerville, Ervin Leighton, Willis Jackson and O. J. Roberts, Sr. all of Dexter. Burial will take place this spring at the McAllister cemetery, Dover road. Born in Sangerville, Dec. 2, 1873, son of John and Sarah (Farnham) Bennett, he spent most of his life in Dexter and Lewiston. He was a member of South Sangerville Grange, Pomona, State and National Grange. He also was a member of Plymouth Lodge, No. 65, IOOF, of Dexter and its affiliated branches. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Charles G. Chandler, Dexter, Mrs. Fred L. Wright, Lewiston Mrs. Edith Gerry, Auburn; several nieces and nephews.
