Obituary	DR. HOWARD J. LABARGE, D.O. DEXTER - Dr. Howard J. Labarge, 79, died Sept. 20,1988 at a Water- ville hospital after a long illness. He was born Aug. 21, 1909, at Masseno, N.Y., the son of Herbert and Ella (.Burke) Labarge. He graduated from Cook Academy and attended Syrc- cuse University on a four year football scholarship. He graduated with the Class of 1938. He attended McGill University, Montreal, Canada, and graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Class of 1944. He then served his residency at Bangor Osteopathic Hospital. On Nov. 17, 1945, he married Genevieve "Buddy" Duffy. They then moved to Dexter, where Dr. Labarge practiced until July 1984. He was a member of the American Osteopathic Associa- tion the Maine Osteopathic Associa- tion, the Syracuse University Athletic Scholorshic Association and the Dex- ter Fish and Game Association. He was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of Dexter, one son, Lt. Com- mander William Labarge of San, Die- go,Calif.; three daughters, Cathie Frost of Newark, Del., Mary Ellen Fletcher of Winslow and Genevieve Susan Clukey of Cheshire, Conn.; one brother, Orville Labarge of Syracuse, N.Y.; one sister, Wolfe of Middle- town, N.Y.; 1O grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was prede- ceased by a brother, Gerald Labarge, who died in 1969. There will be no public visiting hours. A memorial Mass will be concelebrated 10 a.m. Friday at St. Anne's Church, Dexter, with the Rev. Marcel Robitaille and the Rev. David Duffy, O.S.A., brother- in-law of Dr. Labarge, officiating.Pri- vate committal services will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
