CLARENCE H. 'SLIM' PRESCOTT DEXTER - Clarence H. "Slim" Pres- cott 78 died Sept. 19,1988 at a Ban- gor hospital. He was born at Hart- land; July 26, 1910, the son of Atwood and Edna (Libby) Prescott. He attend- ed Dexter schools and was a commu- nicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter. He worked as an electrician in Dexter for many years. He served with the Dexter Volunteer Fire De- partment for 39 years, 18 years of which he was fire chief. He was given a life membership to Maine State Fed- eration Firefighters and the Maine State Fire Chiefs Association. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and a former Grand Knight. He was a member of the Dexter Fish and Game Association and was in- volved with the Cub Scouts of Dexter. He is survived by his wife, Thelma (Ronco) Prescott of Dexter; four sons, John of Kennebunkport, Brian of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Peter of Dexter and Clarence Jr. of Portland; one sis- ter, Louise Prescott; one brother, Maynard Prescott; ten grandchildren, two gredt-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Cros- by-Neal Funeral Home, 238 Main St., Dexter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 m. Friday at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Dexter. Buri- al will be in Mount Pleasant Ceme- tery, Dexter.
