Obituary	In the death of Loring D. Shepley the town loses still another long-known and respected citizen. He had reached the age of 80 years and 6 months, and had lived since his youth on the farm which his father had occupied before him, on the Garland road. All of his father's family, and the wife who happily shared his quiet life for many years, had passed on, leaving him to the affectionate care of his only child, Mrs. Geo. Sawtelle who lives on the home place. Whoever knew Mr. Shepley knew a man of sterling integrity, industrious habits and kindly, faithful heart. Upon such peace - loving, home - keeping lives, upon such unostentatious worth, in large degree depends the stability and welfare of our community.
