Obituary	ULYSSES G. FRENCH Funeral services for Ulysses G. French, 82, of Garland were held Sunday at the Crosby Funeral Home with the Rev. C. D. Nutter of the Dover-Foxcroft Baptist Church officiating, followed by the Odd Fellows service. The body was placed in the Mt. Pleasant receiving tomb for the present. Bearers were: Myron Goodwin, Donald Colbath, both of Dexter; Leslie Pratt, Dover-Foxcroft; and Carl Pratt of Garland. Mr. French died Thursday, Feb. 14, in a Bangor hospital where he was taken earlier in the week. He was born in Sangerville, Nov. 28, 1869, son of Frank and Jennie (Mason) French. Family moved to Garland and be had lived on the same farm there 74 years. He was a member of Plymouth Lodge, No. 65, IOOF, and a Golden Sheaf member of Garland Grange. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sadie (Packard) French; one daughter, Mrs. Edmund Rowe of Dover-Foxcroft; and one granddaughter.
