Obituary
Samuel Hamilton. After a severe illness of about a week, Samuel Hamilton sank peacefully to rest just before noon on Sunday, January 15, 1905, at his home on the corner of Park and Pleasant streets, aged 73 years, 5 months and 3 days. Mr. Hamilton was the son of Robert and Mary Hamilton and was born in Dexter Aug. 12, 1831. He was one of a family of ten children of whom William R. Hamilton of New Auburn, Minnesota is the only one now living. Except for a few years spent in Minnesota, during his early manhood, Mr. Hamilton has always made his home in Dexter, where he is well known through having been employed at the railroad station for 25 consecutive years. He was a faithful member of Plymouth lodge, I. O. O. F., for many years and a member of the Universalist church since 1891. He leaves a wife, two daughters and a son. A kind and loving husband and father, a loyal and helpful friend, her will be much missed in the community. The funeral was held at the Universalist church on Wednesday afternoon, attended by his pastor. Rev. W. H. Gould and conducted by the Odd Fellows.
