Obituary	GORDON I. FIELD DEXTER - Gordon I. Field,87, died Feb. 12,1997, at a Dexter nurs- ing home. He was born May 20, 1909, at Caribou, the son of Eugene and Nettie (Miller) Field. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was the recipient of four Bronze Stars, and participated in the Sicil- ian, Algerian, Italian, and North Af- rican campaigns. He was a member of the American Legion. He is sur- vived by a special niece, Vesta; and her husband, Richard Clukey of Dex- ter; two cousins, Anna and Douglas Fernald of Detroit; several other nieces and nephews. Funeral ser- vices will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 238 Main St., Dexter, with the Rev. Jo Bennett of the Dexter United Meth- odist Church officiating. Spring buri- al will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou.
