GEORGE F. TILTON DEXTER - George F. Tilton, 80, died Sept 11, l996,at his, home in Dexter. -He was born Oct. 26,1915, in Charleston the son of Beniamin and Annie (Former) Tilton. He was a member of the International Associ- ation of Machinists, retiring from Fayscott Landis in 1977. He was a member of the Odd Feillows and had worked,at Old Town Canoe in his earlier years. He is survived by two sons and their wives, Clint and Con- nie Tilton, Larry and Jean Tilton of Dexter; a son, Roger Tilton of Wash- ington, D.C.; a daughter and her husband, Brenda, and Robert Cooley of Dexter;a sister, Marion Bigney of Dover-Foxcroft; eight grandchil- dren, two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Doro- thy (McGray) Tilton on April 10, 1995; and by a brother, Ben; and a sister,Marie Timm. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home ,238 Main St., Dexter. Funeral services will be held 2p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with burial in the Corinthian Cemetery, East Corinth.
