CHESTER E. ANNETT DEXTER- Chester E. Annett, 76, died Sept. 23, 1996, at a Waterville hospital after a long battle with cancer. He was born in East Corinth, Sept. 18 1920, the son of Harry and Jennie (Rowe)Annett. He was educated in East Corinth schools attended East Corinth Academy. He was mar- ried to Norma (Clifford)Annett who died in 1985. He was a U.S. Army Infantry Veteran of World War 11, serving in northern France,Germa- ny and central Europe. For over 25 years, Chet was employed as a Ma- chinist at Faye Scott in Dexter. He also owned and operated Annett's Market in Stetson of 12 years. In June of this year, Chet moved to Clinton and made his home with his daughter, Patricia and her family. He is survived by four son, Richard and his wife, Gayle Annett of Stetson, Douglas C. Annett of Skowegan, Dennis and his wife, Mary Annett of Stetson and William H. Annptt of Detroit, Mich.; one daughter and her husband, Patricia and Jerry Ma- rin of Clinton; one sister, Julia Mer- rill of Exeter; nine grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Char- leen Chamberlain. At his request there are only private family visiting hours. Public graveside services will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27,1996, at the Corinthian Cemetery E. Corinth.
