Obituary
Mrs. Harvey L. Haskell The host of friends in Dexter and vicinity of Mrs. Harvey L. Haskell will learn with deep regret of her death which occurred Friday morning at two o'clock, at the residence of her son, Charles H. Haskell, lower Main street. Mrs. Haskell was born in Fairfield, Me., and had she lived until December of this year would have been seventy-four years of age. On April 23, 1857, she was united in marriage with Harvey L. Haskell whose death occurred several years ago. Mrs. Haskell was an earnest devoted worker in the Ladies's Aid society of the Methodist church and was a communicant of that church. She was also a member of the W. C. T. U. and the Woman’s Relief Corps of this town. A woman highly esteemed and beloved by all those having the privilege of her acquaintance, and always thoughtful of the welfare of them. she will be sadly missed. She leaves three children to mourn her loss, Charles H. Haskell of Dexter, Mrs. Marietta H. Grant and Alberteen Lucas, both of West Falmouth, Mass., also one brother, John Doe, of Golden Ridge, Me., and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Grant of St. Albans and Mrs. Jane Minor residing in one of the western states, who have the sympathy of the townspeople in their bereavement. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon at one o'clock, from the home of Charles Haskell. Rev. A. E. Luce, pastor of the Dexter Methodist church officiated. The interment was in Elmwood cemetery and the bearers were Charles H. Hayden, Walter L. Gilbert, H. A. Johnson and A. J. Knowles.
