Obituary	HARRY E. WHITMORE Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Crosby Funeral Home for Harry E. Whitmore, 61, a former local resident, who died suddenly Friday at his home in Winsted, Conn. The Rev. A. Allan Brough of the First Baptist Church officiated and the body was placed in the tomb to await spring burial at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Bearers were: Vernard Lancaster of Newport, Everett Bennett, Linwood Seavey and Mervin Haskell, all of Dexter. He was born in Ft. Fairfield, Oct. 17, 1890, son of Daniel and the late Emma (Tapley) Whitmore. He had lived in Winsted 15 years. He is survived by his father, Daniel, of Dexter; four sons, Rexford of Saugus, Mass., Philip of Melrose, Mass., Perry with the U. S. Army in Germany, and Harry E., Jr., with the army in Virginia; a daughter, Mona; one sister, Mrs. Ora Gray of Boston; and a brother, Ray, of Dexter.
