HAYWARD E. RAINEY DEXTER - Hayward E. Rainey, 80, of 15 Mechanic St.,Dexter,passed away peacefully at home Nov. 3, 1994. He was born Sept. 3, 1914, in Frankfort, the son of Alice Rainey and the foster son of Melvin and Georgie Dunaver. For the post 30 years, he had been a resident of Dexter and had worked as an auto mechanic and used car dealer. His first wife and mother of his daugh- ters, Hilda Avery Rainey died in 1958; and his second wife, Frances Turner Rainey died in 1988. Survi- vors include twin daughters, Mrs- Lloyd (Sandra) Porter of Pittsfield and Mrs. Dole (Sheila) Springer of Hillside, N.J.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Brian (Martha) Wiley of Milli- nocket and Mrs. Loomis (Karen) Or- cutt of Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters, Mrs. Hazen (Lucille) Mayo of Wilton and Mrs. Phyllis Barbour of Mystic, Conn.; a sister-in-law, Anna P. Avery of Prospect; seven grandchil- dren, seven great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins, and a special friend, Jo- seph Woodbury of Corinna. At his request, there will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 1994, at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Prospect. In lieu of flowers, memori- al donations may be made to the Sebasticook Valley Hospital Respira- tory Care Unit, care of Sebasticook Valley Hospital, Pittsfield O4967.
