Obituary	WILLIAM J. GLIDDEN RIPLEY - William J. Glidden, 82, died Sept. 19, 1994, at a Bangor hos- pal. He was born Oct. 19, 1911, in South Dover, the son of William and Susan (Grant) Glidden. He worked for a short time at B.I.W. and then worked in the area woolen mills for most of his life. He was a member of the Seventh Day Advent Church in Dexter. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Phyllis (Knowles) Glidden of Ripley; one son, Bruce Glidden of Dexter; two daughters, Mrs. James (June) Clukey and Mrs. Phillip (Jeannette) Clukey, all of Ripley; four sisters, Annie Brann, Rena Glidden and Charlotte Remington, all of Dexter, and Olla Libby of Ket- tering, Ohio; nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Grove- side services will be held I p.m. Thursday at West Ripley Cemetery with Pastor Edward Fleish officiat- ing.
