Obituary
Almont Grant Almont Grant died Friday afternoon at his home on Railroad avenue, after an illness of several months of tuberculosis. The deceased was a son of John Grant and wife and, besides his parents, is survived by a wife and one child. He has, for a number of years past, been employed at the machine shop of Fay & Scott and was a highly respected young man. About two years ago he was united in marriage with Miss Mildred Stone of Garland, who, with Mr. Grant’s parents, has the sincere sympathy of all in this bereavement. The funeral was held Monday forenoon from his late home, Rev. J. A. Wiggin, pastor of the Free Baptist church, officiating. A large delegation from Bedivere lodge, K. of P., of which the deceased was a member, attended and escorted the remains to their last resting place in Mount Pleasant cemetery.
