Obituary	Joshua Kendall Abbott Joshua Kendall Abbott departed this life for the higher April 6, at 3 45 p. m., and was buried at Hubbard, Oregon, April 8. He was born in Dexter June 10, 1832, and was the eldest son of Joshua and Mary W. Baker Abbott. The early part of his life was spent near his childhood home. He was married in 1854 to Lucretia W. Cummings of Dexter and since then his has been a varied life. He lived in Boston, New York, Cincinnati and other places till 1892, when he went to Hubbard, Oregan, and was there 18 years lacking one day. They celebrated their golden wedding at the home of a friend (Mr. Guy L. Dick) May 30, 1904. He leaves a wife, a son in Portland, Oregon, two granddaughters and two sisters, Mrs. Robert Poinsett of Hubbard, Ore., and Mrs. Carrie Talbot of Tacoma, Wash. "There Is no such thing as death.
