Obituary
William P. Felker The death of William P. Felker occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ellen Seavey, on lower Main street Monday, after a long illness. Mr. Felker was born 87 years ago, in the town of Starks, Me., living there for many years, and being a man prominent in the politics of the town, and at one time representing his class in the legislature. Later he moved to Ripley, where be was an untiring and faithful worker in the interest of the town, and was for a long time a most efficient selectman, later filling other town offices. In recent years, as he began to suffer from failing health, he made his home with his daughter in Dexter. A man of pleasing personality, he will be missed in his family and among his many old time friends. The funeral was held yesterday at the Grange hall in Ripley, Rev. Stanley Gates Spear, pastor of the First Universalist church of Dexter, officiating. The interment took place in Ripley. Mr. Felker leaves five sons and three daughters: Solomon Felker of Clinton, frank, Roscoe and Lincoln Felker of Ripley, Landon Felker of California, Mrs. Ellen Sevey of Dexter, Mrs. Bertha Bragg of St. Albans, and Miss Luella Felker of Derry, N.H.
