MICHAEL W. COOKSON SR. DOVER-FOXCROFT - Michael W. Cookson Sr.,93, died Jan. 1, 1991, at his residence. He was born Feb 26, 1897, in North Dexter, the son of Hen- ry and Nancy (Kinney) Cookson. He was a veteran of World War 1, and was a member of American Legion Post No. 53 of Dexter. He received a certificate from the French govern- ment in tribute to his military service during World War 1. He was prede- ceased by his wife of 58 years, Gladys (White) Cookson; a daughter, Virgin- ia; and a son, Roland. He is survived by one brother, James, of Belfast; one sister, Jeanette Dole of Carson, Calif.; four sons, Norman and Fred, both of Garland, Larry and Michael Jr., both of Dover-Foxcroft; three daughters, Eunice Cavell of Derry N.H., Eva Hogins of Sanford, and Flo- ra Cates of Dover-Foxcroft; 31 grand- children and 22 great-grandchildren. Friends may call 2.4 and 6-8 pm. Thursday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 238 Main St., Dexter, where funeral services will be held I p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Harold Wheeler officiating. Spring interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Dover- Foxcroft.
