Obituary	ALETHA E. HEMENWAY RIPLEY - Aletha Elizabeth Hemen- way,77, died July 4,1990,at her daughter's residence in Dover-Fox- croft. She was born Oct.11, 1912, at Skowhegan, the daughter of Fred and Bertha (Hoyt) Haseltine. She was a graduate of Dexter High School, Class of 1931. She was a member of the Ripley United Methodist Church for 57 years, and also served for a number of years as the church organist and choir director. She was a member of the Ripley and Pomona, Granges , the Christmas Carol club, Ripley Ladies Aid and the Extension. Her hobbies included crafts and flowers. She had reside with her daughter, Iris, in Dover-Foxcroft since October i989. She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde, who died in 1988. She is sur- vived by three daughters and their husbands,Iris and James Haskins of Dover-Foxcroft, Joyce and Dennis Carr of Corinna, and Priscilla and Eu- gene Adams of Fort Worth, Texas; two brothers, Linwood "Tim", Haseltine of Ripley and John Hoseltine of Nopa, Calf.; three sisters,Mary Dore of Gardiner, Vera Wentworth of Pitts- field and Nellie Brosier of Ripley; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchil- dren. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 238 Main St., Dexter. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ripley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Helen Zigmund officiating. Interment will be in the Ferndale Cem- etery, Ripley.
